Out and About

Under the huge skies of Suffolk, you can fill each day with new sights and discoveries or just relax next to your tent enjoying the rural landscape.

It's time to get your boots on with plenty of footpaths on our doorstep and we have a selection of circular walks (including to the pub) and the National Cycle Route 51 runs nearby if you prefer two wheels.

The beautiful village of Lavenham lies six miles away and the historic town of Bury St Edmunds is close with its stunning cathedral and independent shops. Closer still is Stowmarket and the open air Museum of East Anglian Life and the leisure centre for swimming, climbing and soft play (if rain stops outside play).

For a day out we are equidistant from the university city of Cambridge and the beautiful Suffolk coast, plus historic Norwich is only half an hour away by train. Other options include horse riding, Go Ape in Thetford Forest, farm trails such as Hollowtrees Farm, markets and farm shops, food and rural craft courses and so much more.

It’s worth spending time planning your visits (Visit Suffolk, Suffolk Tourist Guide and Discover Suffolk will help, or contact us for inspiration).  Alternatively just decide to sit back and relax, enjoying life in a field.
